What Mindshare offers.
Watchlist-Weighted Attention
Mindshare starts from watchlist users: a cleaner intent signal than passive page views because users actively add tokens they want to monitor. Watchlists carry the largest weight in the score and anchor every narrative's percentage share.
Per-Token & Per-Narrative Tracking
View mindshare at the individual token level and the narrative level. Per-token mindshare reveals which specific assets are capturing attention; per-narrative mindshare shows which themes like AI, DeFi, Memes, RWA, and DePIN are gaining or losing share.
Overlap-Aware Narrative Percentages
Tokens often belong to several narratives. Sharpe share-splits each overlapping token so the narrative universe sums to 100% instead of double-counting Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, or cross-chain assets in every category they touch.
Telegram Cap for Farmed Channels
Telegram members are included, but capped at 50x watchlist users per token before scoring. That keeps real community size in the model while preventing airdrop-farmed or bot-heavy channels from dominating the rankings.
Mindshare Rotation in Percentage Points
Compare 24h, 7d, and 30d changes in percentage points to see where attention is rotating. A move from 2.0% to 3.5% is shown as +1.5 pp, not a misleading +75% relative change.
Sentiment and Developer Context
Sentiment votes, 4-week commit counts, GitHub stars, market cap, and price change sit beside each narrative and token so attention can be checked against builder activity and market confirmation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Mindshare measures the share of tracked crypto attention that a token or narrative receives relative to the full narrative universe Sharpe monitors. It is calculated from watchlist users, capped Telegram reach, and sentiment votes, then normalized so narrative-level percentages sum to 100%. A 5% mindshare reading means the narrative accounts for 5% of the measured attention pool; developer metrics are shown separately for confirmation.
Mindshare uses coin detail data: watchlist_portfolio_users, Telegram channel member counts, sentiment_votes_up_percentage, developer activity, GitHub stars and forks, price, and market cap. It does not currently use Twitter/X mentions, Reddit posts, Discord data, or account credibility weighting.
Each token receives a social score: watchlist users carry 70%, Telegram members carry 10% after a 50x-watchlist cap, and sentiment is centered at 50% before entering as a 20%-weighted term. Because sentiment ranges from 0% to 100%, it can move the score by at most +/-10% of watchlist. Token scores are split across every narrative they belong to, summed by narrative, and divided by the total token score pool to produce a mindshare percentage.
Attention can precede capital flows, especially when watchlist growth and sentiment improve before market cap expands. Mindshare is not a price prediction and does not guarantee a fixed lead time; it is a rotation signal that should be paired with liquidity, price, derivatives, and on-chain confirmation.
For each token, Telegram members are capped at 50 times the token's watchlist users before entering the score. A token with 10,000 watchlist users can contribute at most 500,000 Telegram members to the Telegram component. A token with no watchlist signal contributes no Telegram weight.
Mindshare snapshots are written every 6 hours by Sharpe's cron pipeline. Coin detail responses are cached for up to 24 hours to respect provider limits, and historical snapshots are stored in Supabase for trend charts and period-over-period deltas.
Mindshare tracks market attention signals from watchlists, Telegram reach, sentiment votes, and developer metrics. The News Aggregator tracks published articles from established media outlets like CoinDesk, The Block, and Bloomberg Crypto. Use Mindshare for narrative attention and News for confirmed reporting.
Yes. Mindshare is available free on Sharpe Terminal with no account required. Per-token mindshare, per-narrative mindshare, historical trends, and percentage-point delta views are accessible immediately.
Crypto prices are driven substantially by attention. Unlike equities where cash flows often anchor valuation, many crypto tokens trade on narrative, liquidity, and reflexive interest. Rising mindshare can flag where capital may rotate next, while falling mindshare can warn that attention is leaving a crowded theme.
Mindshare measures share of attention. Sentiment measures directional polarity inside the attention signal. A narrative can have high mindshare with weak sentiment, or low mindshare with strong bullish sentiment. Sharpe shows both because share and tone answer different questions.
Kaito, LunarCrush, and Santiment focus heavily on social conversation, account graphs, or broader social/on-chain intelligence. Sharpe's Mindshare is narrower and more transparent: it uses watchlists, capped Telegram reach, sentiment votes, and developer metrics, then ties those narrative-level attention signals to the rest of Sharpe Terminal's market dashboards.
