Layer 1
Track Layer 1 narrative market cap, volume, social sentiment, and token performance.
Layer 1 blockchains are the base-layer networks that settle and secure all on-chain activity — Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Cardano, Tron, Polkadot, TON, Sui, Aptos, and a long tail of challenger chains. Each Layer 1 competes on a different axis: Ethereum leads on developer activity and decentralized finance, Solana leads on throughput and retail memecoin activity, BNB Chain leads on Asia-centric trading volume, and emerging chains like Sui, Aptos, and Monad pitch technical differentiation around execution models or consensus. The L1 narrative is the most-capitalized narrative in crypto — typically accounting for 40–50% of total crypto market cap once Bitcoin is included. Capital flows into L1 tokens are the primary read on broad crypto risk appetite; flows out are the first signal of rotation into higher-beta narratives.
